Hampshire County Youth Band Association
The HCYB Association is a charitable organisation which supports the Hampshire County Youth Bands' Musical Director in the further musical education of the members of the bands, not only in monetary terms by fund raising, but also with help in setting up and down rehearsal rooms, concert stages, transporting equipment from store to venue and back and accompanying the bands on residential weekends and tours. The committee usually meet on the first Tuesday of each month during term time in Winchester and we are always looking for new committee members, although you don't need to be a committee member to help out. There are always jobs that can be done that make a real difference, you can always offer your services to any committee member, it will always be appreciated.
HCYB Association Contributions
We hope the parents of Band Members would wish to partake in our 'voluntary' membership scheme. For some years we have asked for, and gratefully received a contribution of £50 per family per year, which most families feel able to do. As mentioned, this is a voluntary contribution, but we hope as many of you as possible feel willing to subscribe. The money can be paid in one £50 payment, or termly in 1 x £20 and 2 x £15 instalments. Direct Debit is available, please contact the Treasurer, Richard Boler for further information. If you are a tax payer, we would be grateful if you would take a couple of minutes to complete the "Gift Aid" section of the Fairthorne Manor Induction Sheet which enable us to claime a further 28% of tax back from the government, giving the Association valuable extra income at no extra cost to you!
Concert Tickets
Concert tickets are available in the coffee room at Perins during Saturday rehearsals, tickets for certain concerts are only available from the venue. For mor details please check the individual Event on this Website, or contact the HCYBA Secretary.
Raffle Prizes Gratefully Received
The HCYBA hold a raffle at most concerts. This is always a succesful way of fundraising for all the Bands but is only successful if enough draw prizes are donated. So please, donate a prize to the Raffle Draw, you can bring a suitable prize to Perins on any Saturday or to the Band Stall on the night of the Concert.
